Ready

Choose your route.

Start when you are ready.

WASD moves · mouse/drag aims · click/F fires · Space jumps · Shift sprints · R reloads · E interacts · 1–3 selects tools · P pauses. Touch: left moves, right aims; use Fire, Jump, and the tool buttons.

Campaign map & game modes

Explore two floors, clear the fork, and activate the bridge console.

Stages unlock in order. Practice can rehearse any stage. Earn palettes after 2, 4, and 6 clears—never permanent power upgrades.

Sound, controls & accessibility

Slower simulation and wider aim assistance use separate records. Visual preferences and control remapping do not. Reduced motion follows your device settings. Pause before remapping; Escape cancels a remap.

How to play & the biology behind the theme

Explore in three dimensions

Ramps and stairs connect every required destination. Bridges have real space below them. Look up for drones and raised firing positions. The compass points toward the next objective; ↑ and ↓ beside its distance indicate another floor. M opens a floor-aware map.

Choose your tool

Carbine: precise, sustained medium-range fire. Scatter: a close-range burst that rewards careful positioning. Pulse: a slower explosive projectile for groups. All three are available immediately. Each has its own magazine and reserve ammunition; R reloads.

Read the encounter

Scouts reposition; horned chargers commit to a rush after a warning; armored sentries protect their front; winged drones move above the floor. Gold rings announce attacks. Walls, bridges, and machinery block fire. Vents and barriers show a steady amber warning before becoming harmful.

Recover and continue

Use blue ammunition consoles with E, or the Use button, for free refills. Break marked crates for supplies. Safe-sector checkpoints restore integrity and ammunition after an encounter. Defeat offers a checkpoint retry; Restart always begins the entire mission.

Master the campaign

Uninterrupted clears can earn three medals: clear, at least 70% shot accuracy, and no damage. A scatter volley or pulse explosion counts as one accurate shot if it damages an enemy. Checkpoint clears unlock the next mission but are unranked. Practice has unlimited shots and prevents damage without saving progress.

Play comfortably

Mouse lock is optional: drag to aim if it is unavailable. On phones, the left thumb moves and the right side aims; drag the Fire button to aim while firing. Push the movement stick fully forward to sprint. Landscape Focus view gives the largest playfield. Graphics, field of view, motion, aiming assistance, and key bindings are adjustable below.

The biological inspiration

This is a fictional genome-maintenance simulation, not a molecular model. Its robotic threats and energy tools do not represent literal DNA repair, and genetic variation is not inherently harmful.

In bacterial DNA polymerase III, the ε subunit can remove a mispaired terminal nucleotide using 3′→5′ exonuclease activity, while α resumes synthesis in the 5′→3′ direction. For example, a template 3′ A G C 5′ pairs with nascent DNA 5′ T C G 3′ after an incorrect terminal base is removed and replaced. This differs from correcting established substitutions or indels elsewhere in a genome.
