How to Play & Shortcuts
Desktop Slide: Use Arrow keys or W / A / S / D.
Mobile Touch: Swipe anywhere across the grid in any direction.
Undo Move: Press U, Cmd+Z, or click the Undo button.
Quick Restart: Press R to start a fresh board.
Tile Merging: Tiles with the same number merge into one when they touch. After reaching 2048, choose Keep Going to reach 4096 and beyond!
One merge per move: A row of 2 · 2 · 2 · 2 sliding left becomes 4 · 4, not 8. A successful move then adds a random 2 (90%) or 4 (10%). An ineffective move adds nothing and uses no undo history.
Try a strategy: Keep a large tile in one corner and arrange neighboring values in descending order. Preserve room to maneuver; this is a useful heuristic, not a guaranteed winning strategy.
Saved locally: Each size keeps its own board and up to 20 complete undo states, including random spawns. Best scores from the previous version are retained. Nothing is sent to a server.
